When I first came to see you to start my Clinical Hypnotherapy journey, I was really struggling with anxiety due to managing a lifelong health condition and caring for my elderly mother whilst also trying to fit in daily life and things for me that I enjoy too. I was starting to feel I could not cope I would often be in tears, even the smallest of things that can go wrong in our daily life had me snapping at family and friends. I was starting to feel out of control, quite unhappy and withdrawing from meeting family, friends and social events.
I knew how I was reacting was wrong and so much out of character but I did not know how to try and understand why and take the control of what was happening. I found this quite upsetting as I could also see the impact this was having on the people I love and care about around me, I knew this had to change and I had to get help and get back to being me and enjoying life.
Our first meeting was such a relief, starting to get an insight into how our brains work and just the first step of coming away with writing down three positive things each day, however small they were, gave me a focus each day. As soon as I receive my MP3 download, I started listening to it daily and it became my comfort blanket at the end of each day, albeit I do not think I’ve ever heard it all the way through as I always drift off and then wake up feeling more relaxed.
Your kindness, empathy, listening and understanding over the next few weeks has been invaluable being able to talk through how I was feeling, changing my mindset on how I feel about things by taking a step back, not having an instant reaction and learning how to ‘empty my stress bucket’ has been amazing and life changing for me.
I will always need to manage my health issues and care for my mother for as long as I can, but I now feel far more in control of all of this. I am no longer such a hard ‘ taskmaster’ on myself and I’m not stressing if housework jobs around the home are not done in the timely manner, all of which I was setting and imposing on myself!
I feel so much calmer and relaxed about all aspects of my life and seem to have more time for me. I am smiling and laughing more, and this has been noticed by my family and friends, with many saying they have the old Sheila back they know.
Life will still throw curve balls and ride a bit like a rollercoaster at times as it does to all of us but I now have the tools to stop, take a step back and look at these in a different way using my new mindset. Life is feeling good and the pace of life much calmer and slower, which is great. I’m also more comfortable in saying no I’m putting myself first more of the time. This in turn is enabling me to enjoy my hobbies and have some ‘me’ time whilst still dealing with all I had in my life before.
I cannot thank you enough as I know I would not be in the position I am or be the person I am today without you and your services.
You are a true inspiration and I feel incredibly lucky and privileged to know you and for the opportunity to experience and be helped by your Clinical Hypnotherapy.

“I would highly recommend Vicky to someone either struggling with their mental health or simply wanting to think more positively and approach life with a better perspective. I started with Vicky just before going back to university, a very anxious and stressful time however her weekly appointments helped me to feel better prepared with each session. She also made it clear that her door is always open by offering a video call if I ever need extra support along the way. Overall, I feel I approached university and situations after the hypnotherapy process with much less irritational, anxious thoughts and saw the positive in things and was able to find solutions and be calm in times I would not have been able to before."

Vicky is excellent in her approach and always listens to what is being said but can also answer and explain what is going on. I have met with Vicky on several occasions and now I am beginning to know how to help myself.
I found the whole experience of meeting with Vicky very calming and learnt a lot about myself in how to think when my “stress bucket” becomes too full.
I have started to look at life from a different view now and hope that I never drop to the level I was at again. This would be quite easy to do when circumstances come my way, but I now know what to look out for.
I met with Vicky weekly and then went to fortnightly which I thought would be difficult, but I managed.
Vicky’s whole approach of making life seem and feel so much easier to deal with, keeps me going as I take an innovative approach when thinking and sorting out things.
I cannot thank Vicky enough for all her help and support that she has given me and, I see myself differently now. I also try to make sure that my “stress bucket” does not get too full!

“I started to see Vicky to try and help with my anxiety and to build my confidence in new situations or speaking to new people. I saw Vicky for about 3 months and over this time my anxiety has settled and my confidence has increased. Throughout the sessions with Vicky, she spoke to me about how the brain works and why we feel the way we do to get a better understanding. The sessions have given me the tools needed and suggestions to help myself through situations that I struggle with, to ensure a better outcome. I know that this is something that I will probably need to work on for the rest of my life, but Vicky has given me the confidence to do this”.

After years of trying every diet, slimming class, weight gain / weight loss and overall misery I felt about myself and my relationship with food, I had to try a different approach. I approached Vicky to see if clinical hypnotherapy could help me. Like many I was sceptical and nervous. Vicky immediately put me at ease and there to help and not judge me. With specialist techniques, Vicky has showed me how to retrain my mind and remove all the negativity I had about myself and my relationship with food. For the first time in 40 years, I am in control, and I can’t begin to explain how good that feels. If you want to change your relationship with food, lose weight and become a healthier, happier person then speak to Vicky”.

“I have suffered from a bird phobia for over 40 years. I hated going to towns where there would often be lots of pigeons eating crumbs of the floor and small children running towards them causing them to fly!
I was somewhat sceptical about coming to see Vicky wondering if hypnotherapy really works! However, I was open minded and figured that Vicky couldn’t possibly make me worse and I decided to give it a go!
After the sessions when I was next in my usual idea of “pigeon hell” I realised that I was not constantly scanning looking for them or taking ridiculous detours around them.
Amazingly I found myself able to calmly walk close to them. Even the people I was with commented on how very different I was ….in fact I was able to behave normally, there was no heart racing or anxiety. I highly recommend this simple, but very effective hypnotherapy from Vicky. It literally is life changing!”

“No more waking up each morning at 5am, feeling the fear and the immediate weight of overwhelm. No more anxiety, stealing the fun from happy occasions! More energy, more tolerance, and a clearer head space, now equipped with the knowledge of how we tick and what to do about it!
Anyone thinking of a reset, being kinder to themselves or wanting some help, I thoroughly recommend Vicky’s Hypnotherapy. Improvements are quicker than I thought could be possible!"

"I went to see Vicky to help with my phobia of spiders. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I am so irrational when I see a spider I have even hurt myself trying to get away from them. I just wanted to be able to act more normal and rational when I saw one.
Vicky put me at ease and I felt comfortable and in safe hands. The whole process was easy and relaxing and made me think differently about the way I see spiders.
I used to run out of a room screaming if I saw one. I have now been faced with two spiders since I finished the process with Vicky. I removed both spiders myself without running away screaming. I have never done that before. I am amazed I even did that. The thing was while I was removing a spider I didn’t even think what I was doing. She really has worked her magic on me. I’m not saying I want a pet spider but I’m so much more rational and calmer around spiders.
I highly recommend Vicky to anyone that wants to deal with a phobia. I can’t sing her praises enough."

"When a friend first recommended Vicky to me I was a little skeptical but thought I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Vicky took time and explained how the process worked and how our brains work. Of course I had heard phrases such as take notice of the little things and the power of positive thinking but thought that these were nothing more than phrases. How wrong was I!!
Within a few short weeks Vicky gave me the tools I needed to turn my life around. I no longer feel anxious and stressed especially about things I can’t control and I now live in the moment taking time to appreciate the small things such as the lighter evenings and spending time with family. Living in the moment has taken away the stress and worry of how future events may turn out and I am much more confident. Now to tackle the weight loss which I feel confident I now have the tools to be successful.
I would urge anybody who feels that they may need help to contact Vicky and like me I am sure you will not be disappointed."

“Emptying your stress bucket will change your life. It has mine!
Last Oct-Dec I began a course of solution focused hypnotherapy with the incredible Vicky Leschallas Clinical Hypnotherapy.
She taught me all about our brain being split into a logical mind and a primitive mind and how this impacts us in the form of anxiety, depression and anger. The key component to which portion of our brain we are working from being STRESS.
Imagine we all have an internal bucket in which our stress is stored. In an ideal world this would always be sitting about 1/3 full to allow for life's stresses to come our way and still have the capacity to deal with that.
Unfortunately, the reality for so many of us is that bucket is not only sitting at full, its spilling all over the place causing us to stay in that primitive mind working in fight or flight mode with no capacity to deal with even the small stuff.
Chances are, this has impacted your sleep too as there is just too much for your mind to process, your being woken up to prevent exhaustion - not helpful I know!
The key is to start emptying out the stress bucket, focus on even the smallest ways of increasing your wellbeing, increasing your happy hormones and decreasing the stress in your life and the stimulation of stress hormones in the body and very importantly, we need to focus on good quality sleep.
If things are too much, and you're drowning in that excess stress - I highly recommend giving therapy a go.
I now think clearer, my shakes and nausea are a thing of the past, I have a huge increase in capacity so now its as though I have triple the time to get everything done. I am calmer, and happier and my homelife, workalike and happiness have all improved tenfold.
Emptying my stress bucket has changed my life with the help of Vicky, and I am now maintaining that in my day to day life, and my regular massage appointments”.
