What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a type of “talking therapy” that combines the use of psychotherapy with hypnosis. It helps people to achieve positive change. Rather than focusing on “the problem” this approach centres around the solution. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is based on up-to-date neuroscience research of how our brains work and the focus is always on the positive rather than the negative.
We use trance to enhance the therapeutic work that we do. Trance is very normal - we all go in and out of trance many times a day such a when reading, driving a regular route, going for a run or when we are concentrating on something. Trance can be likened to “daydreaming” making my sessions relaxing and enjoyable. We will work together to bring about positive changes in your life without dwelling on the past.
